Why do people come and see me?
Some people want advice on a specific nutritional need, whilst some people just want to eat a better diet to improve their overall health. I will discuss any nutritional worries or concerns that effects your everyday eating habits. I will assess your current eating pattern and check for dietary deficiencies or imbalances and then give advice to improved your diet.
What happens on the first visit?
I will ask you about your objectives (whether you want to reduce your cholesterol, lose some weight, be a great example to your kids, become a vegan or diabetes prevention to name a few). We will discuss your lifestyle, eating pattern, allergies, digestive issues and likes/dislikes when it comes to food. I will ask you to fill out a form before you arrive as well as a 3 day food diary.
What is a 3 day food diary?
A food diary is a good way to find out what you are eating on a day to day basis. I will ask you to write down the exact amounts of everything you consume over a 3 day period (2 weekdays and 1 weekend day). I will analyse your diet and compare it to recommended values checking for deficiencies and a make recommendations/changes.
How often do people came and see me?
Sometimes a single visit is sufficient to discuss your main problems and give you enough advice to achieve your goals. I find it is beneficial for at least one follow up session. If you would like support over a longer period, you can upgrade to a package.
How much does it cost?
1 hour session costs £80 which includes the 3 day dietary analysis. One follow up session is £60 for 1 hour.
